Tyre Inflator

New member
Hello

I recently posted asking for advice on buying my first Porsche and I am pleased to say thay I am now the very proud owner of a gorgeous silver 996 C4s (2003) with low miles and lots of lovely paperwork. The advice on the Peter Morgan inspection was spot on and the report they gave was very detailed and thankfully glowing.

Everything with the car is perfect apart from the missing tyre inflator, I went to Halfords tonight and bought one but it just doesn't fit. Has anyone purchased a decent alternative to the origianl and if so where did they get it.

Well done Mark, but WE NEED PICTURES!!!

Sorry I cant help with the comressor, but it doen't surprise me that you are looking for an alternative. A genuine Porsche one is £184!! You might try the breakers, although I suspect they know the price of a neew one.

I can let you have a brand new one with built-in tyre pressure gauge for £15 + P&P.
PM me if you would like it.
Regards,
Clive

If I were you I'd get a real one off Ebay. I've got another digital compressor...mind numbingly slow, and incredibly noisy as most of them are. The Porsche one is super fast, which is all important.

Thanks for that, pal! []
There's nothing wrong with the kit I'm offering.
It's an original manufacturer's item, but I have 3 of them and I only need one.
Regards,
Clive

ORIGINAL: Lancerlot

No need - my car came with the pump (completely unused!). Just did a quick ebay search & came up with that link.

Nice car, congratulations! [:)]
Sorry for the delay to those who PM'd me about the tyre inflator - I've been away.
I have 2 brand new inflators, still in their wrapping plus a third I use myself.
I'll take some photos tomorrow and e-mail them to those who have responded together with my contact details.
Thanks for your interest.
Regards,
Clive
