Tyre Pressure for Targa?

Hi All

My Targa is now out of winter hybination, so I am just checking the basics.
My tyre pressures seem a little all over the place and I can't remember what they should be?
I have put in 32 PSI front and 40 PSI rear but I am not sure if this is correct. Does anyone know what they should be please on a 2002 Targa?

Kind regards

Andy

My 996 is a Cabriolet and on my car this information is on the inside of the fuel filler flap. The pressures are listed in bar and psi (I much prefer the latter) and are tyre size dependent.

Thanks Pete
I didn't realise the pressure chart was on the inside of the filler flap. Thanks.
I was way off with my pressures, they should have been 36 PSI front and 44 PSI rear. They seem a bit high but I am sure Porsche know what they are doing. :)
kind regards
Andy

Another Targa owner here :)

Following the Porsche recommended pressures, Ive noticed the centres of my tyres wearing faster than the outsides - suggesting over inflation.

I've since dropped them with no ill effects and it rides better as a result (and seems to reduce the Targa rattles and squeaks ;-))

28 - 34 psi front
32 - 40 psi rear
Factory settings:
36 front
44 rear

Tyre pressure issue was an item discussed at the 996 Technical seminar at the weekend at PCGB HQ - consensus was 36psi all round. Improves that central rear tyre wear issue for no real detriment.

Thanks dij, I missed out on the 996 event, hopefully there will be another one.
I will try 36 all round and see how I get on.
Thanks again for the info.
Kind regards
Andy
