Have heard conflicting advice on what set ups to apply

My advice is to start at correct road pressures (29 F, 35 R on mine) and keep checking them after every session, at least for the first few sessions of the day. How much they rise will depend on the air and track temperatures and how hard you drive. For my last couple of track days (Donington and Rockingham) on the advice of another racer who has some involvement with Michelin I let the fronts rise to 35 and kept them there.

Spyderman,

Thanks for that. I run 30 and 36 as per what it states in the manual and don't change or monitor them for the track. Didnt notice anything to write home about and grip levels were as good as I could push the tyres. I presume you take the reading straight after the session?

The reason I ask is I got a GSXR1000 as well and have heard advice regarding lowering both standard pressures when cold prior to going on track. Tried it once and couldnt get to grips with the feel

Yes - immediately you come in.

I don't think there's any need. Your first session should be slow anyway and you're not going to get much temperature rise.
