What tyre pressures do you run?
When I first had my 944S2 (just a few weeks ago) I didn't check the pressures for a while, as the car seemed to be comfortable and handling very well. I then thought I'd better find out what they should be, and then find out what they actually were! The manual says 36 front/ 44 rear (but then you all know that, don't you!). My car was running on about 4psi below that, so I pumped them up to the recommended figures.
The ride seems a bit harsher (as I would expect) but also slightly less well balanced. Turn in seems less precise - this is not what I would have expected.
I must bear in mind that my judgements must be regarded as highly suspect, given that I am new to Porsche driving (one cannot count the couple of occasions when Keith has let me pilot his left-hooker Carrera - I quote, "You can move over a bit, you don't have to bounce me down the cat's eyes all the way into Bodmin!")
Serious though, folks, does everyone run at the recommended pressures or are there widely accepted alternatives for daily driving?
