What are you guys running?

I' m on 36psi cold for occasional road use; 28psi cold and then continually lowering to 32 psi hot for track use.

Checking my tyres yesterday, two weeks after Oulton Park, where I left them at 32psi hot, they were 26psi front and 24 psi rear, cold.

I run 36 cold for road and go down to 32-34 for track cold. But have not experimented further and have not taken a hot reading. As I become more and more familiar with the car I will play around and see what works 4 me. My theory as yet unproven but born out possibly by your intial 28 starting piont is that I want to get as near to 36 when hot as poss. However slightly lower to your 28 may prove interesting.
 
for bridgestone so2 , 36 cold for road use, adjusted when hot for track use to 32 front and 34 rear on advice of local racers.....usually have to let more out of rears to keep to this. In theory adjusting to 36 hot all round should be OK too ( have tried it but I am never on the limit enough to say its better or worse.
BTW where can u get a reliably accurate gauge from ??
 
I find when the Cup Car gets over 32 hot at the rear, it gets a bit twitchy!! Usually record 34-36 immediately after a session.

Plentiful supply of guauges from Grand Prix Racewear in Chiswick. They don' t give PCGB discount anymore, but do provided a loyalty card -the more you spend, the cheaper it gets!!!

Just bought a guauge that reads up to 40psi, with flexible hose and release button in order that one can lower pressures to desired setting without taking guauge off valve -about £25.

I tend to run the tyres with about 4psi less that the recommended pressure in them on track days.

Best thing to do is take a tyre pressure gauge with you and do a few laps to build up heat in the car/tyres, check pressures and keep bleeding air until you are happy with the hot tyre pressure.

Don't forget to add pressure when you have finished the track sessions though.

Hmmmm.... usually a good starting point is to let about 4psi out and do a few laps... Tyres should have warmed up nicely and then you adjust your pressures to whatever the cold reccomendation figures are. Keep checking after each session. You may need to drop the rear pressure to a few psi below the cold recc figure if you find it starting to lose rear grip.

Anyone else with more experience of this particular model???
 
i've found that dropping the pressure to 30-32psi all round when hot seems to work the best on mine with road tyres (P Zeros or Michelin Pilots)
