Tyre presures for 17" alloys on a 2.5 lux (86)

Ok, simple question what pressure should they be running, have seen somewhere 36 front and 44 rear, but is this too much?

thanks in advance, and before you say I have tried to use the search but it could not locate anything for tyre pressures in the 944 section.

Sounds a bit high - I know the handbook pressures vary from year to year.

I would try 34/36 F/R & see how it feels, tweak it from there...

I find a small change in pressures can make a fair degree of difference to the car, but only as it approaches the limits of grip.

What size tyres are you running? - much difference in width F/R?

tyres I think are 205 front and 225 rear (would have to check on that)

have not looked in the handbook, as the standard rims are only 15" and the option was 16" and these are replicas but 17"

Standard pressures for an '86 Lux are 29F/36R, I run a couple lower at the rear. As if it makes any difference with P6000s....[&:]

That's for all the wheel sizes they list, 15 & 16" inc. winter tyres. Turbo pressures are 36 all round for the same wheel sizes. Why's that, then? [8|]

Wider tyres, heavier front, faster car, probably all contribute to the difference.

Most people with 17s on Turbos seem to run something in the 33 to 36 range all round on road tyres.
