Tyre Question

Could someone tell me what the correct wheel width is for the Cup 2's on the 968 please and the appropriate tyre width that goes on it.

It think it is a 7.5" on the front with a 225/45 tyre but I dont know the rear.

I have just got some ex993 Cup 2 that are 7" and 8" respectively.

I found an only post on the 944 registar covering some of this. That indicated that a 225/45 was necessary on the 968 to get good front grip and a 7" Cup 2 would take a 225 width tyre no problem. It also said that the 255/40 was the right size for the rear.

Interestingly there was a link to Toyo tyres site which showed that a 255 is too wide for an 8" wheel, yet the tyres on the wheels I have are original Perreli Rosso and are 255!!??

What is the rear wheel size and any comments on the above please?
