Tyre rubbing on inner wing

When on full left hand lock my 911 (1988 3.2) tyre rubs on the inner wing. The car has not been in a shunt andhas a standard wheel tyre setup.
I have seen that a spacer kit is available for the steering rack to limit the turning lock on wide wheel race car setup, but I wonder if the position of the rack is correct as there is clearance on the right hand side tyre/inner wing (rack replaced by previous owner).

Any ideas / solutions would be much appreciated.

First check that the correct size wheel and tyre are fitted - standard set up should be : 6J x 16 : 205/55 front, 7J x 16 : 225/50 rear.

If this checks out OK, then could be ride height and/or camber settings. As our cars are now 20+ years old, so pretty tired by now, I'd advise a full suspension check & refurbishment.

Just had mine done and it totally transformed the way it drives, IMHO one of the best thing to do on a 3.2, that and fitting a LSD

Thanks Beaky
The tyre sizes are correct so will check geometry - but I wonder if the rack is centralised?

I think that the rack only fit in one position, so don't believe its that, but could be the track rod ends alignment, or other suspension positioning

An inspection of the suspension and Geo check should identify any issues

Fingers crossed
