Tyre Shortage

I understand there are some supply problems with N rated tyres. The OPC said Contis are no longer N rated or recommended for Porkers and wanted to sell me brands they had in stock for all my limbs. Called around and got Conti SportContact2s for £120(f) and £140(r) each all in. They were made in March '08 too. Does anyone know why OPC said they are no longer recommended for Porsches or was it just a generalisation that Contis are now not N rated for 19 inch sizes.

I have used these guys a few times and for a very wide variety of tyres and I found them always the cheapest and with a very good service where ever you want hem.

sorry, mine are 17s hence the price... does anyone know why OPC say the Contis are no longer Porsche approved (even for my 996 on 17s)... i think some of it is ignorance on the parts desk part...

I needed to fit a pair of Conti 285 X 18 a few weeks ago and had a real problem tracking down any in stock. Bracknell Tyre who I normally use could not get any ! Finally got them from Protyre in Slough .

Got 2 x Conti Sport 2 N2 for £165.17 each (incl. balance, etc. of course) from ProTyre last December. That's for 18" rims. Didn't think it was too bad.
