All,
Really sorry to ask again but the fact that it will probably p*** down on the 3-Nov at Oulton is motivating me to get some Mich Pilot Sports on my spare wheels to avoid the inevitable slippy slidey on the 888s

As previously requested what are the optimal tyre sizes for 17" Cup Car Cup 1s, 8"Fr and 9.5"Rear.

I think that Hacki came good with this info last time.....apologies once again, I cant get to the previous post as it is now too old :-(

Thanks,
Kevin.

225/45x17 on the front, 255/40x17 on the rears. This is what I use on the same wheels.

Ditto! And this is what Porsche recommended for a road legal Cup car with the original wheels.

OK, read the post properly now, and editted the below

I'm looking for some list 1b tyres for a set of 7.5 and 9s (thank-you steve). currently thinking R888 or Yokos 48Rs (M),

I know a lot of you run R888s (what size?) Anyone run 48s?

Hugh, I'm running R888 in the sizes above, also got a set (same size) on some 7 and 9x17 wheels as well. Not tried the Yokos, but now Toyo have cut down drastically on the number of distributors/dealers for R888, I might try the Yokos. Another option could be the Kumho Ecsta V700, currently list 1B, which are very popular in the US as a track tyre.

Have used Kumho's for years on my Speed Championship 993RSR, great tyre in the dry but not so good in the wet. You will need a hard compound for trackday use.
