Tyre Suppilers

I just want to sing the praises of a tyre supplier.
I have just got a second slow puncture on a rear tyre in about three months on my Boxster.
I normally go to Black Circles but the other day their website stated they could not supply & fit the required tyre for over two weeks.
Ridiculous.
The tyre is a Pirelli P Zero 265/40 ZR19 98Y N0.
I searched the web and found a few "supply only" retailers at competitive prices.
One stated they could deliver with 72 hours but if I was paying by Paypal they were going to add a 3.5% surcharge.
Eventually I ordered the tyre from a retailer in Cumbria who stated that it was a stock item and would be delivered next day providing it is ordered before 14:30.
The retailer is a company I have dealt with before as I used to get all my Mitsubishi FTO parts from them as they used to also be a specialist in parts supply for Japanese & grey import cars, sadly no more.
The tyre was delivered this morning, just after 11:00.
Cost £210 including the £7 delivery charge.
A local tyre depot will fit the tyre for £10.
Altogether not a huge saving on Black Circles price but at least I do not have to wait over two weeks to get it replaced.
Not sure if I can name the tyre supplier but the are based in Whitehaven, Cumbria.

Praising good service is fine, go ahead.
Blaming is not allowed, can lead to legal problems for PCGB, so don't ever do it!

Yes it was Camskill.
Oponeo was the same price as Black Circles for supply only.
Not heard of Pneusonline, just checked and their price is £223 delivered, 3-5 working days.
That is why I cannot fault Camskill on their price and/or speed of service.

Have just read through some "older" threads and it seems the P Zero's do not have a good reputation for longevity.
But it is what the OPC fitted before I purchased the car and I have only done 2000 miles on them in 6 months.

I guess it depends on the size/make of tyre too. Just checked those three sites for a pair of rear tyres for my turbo and they come out at £422 Camskill, £410 Pneusonline and £402 Oponeo - all delivered prices. Strange really as a few years back a pair were around £600! So on that basis I guess it depends how much of a hurry you are in to get them!
