Tyre Suppliers

Looking for recommendations for competative prices and good service (not damaging wheels) on tyres for my 997 in central Scotland. Or if people tend to buy online who do you trust to fit your tyres?
Thanks

last few times I've used KwikFit mobile after being let down by another on-line fitting service, surprised at how good the fitter that came over was (same guy 3 times now) and highly competitive. I'm sure others will have differing options of KwikFit but up here, where I'm based (Highlands) it's a great help to have a mobile service that turns up on time and does a good job at a good price.

I use Performance Tyres in Ayr, but they are also in Paisley and head office is in Carmunock, near East Kilbride. Always a great price and very careful with my wheels.

I had a bad experience with a leading tyre supplier and went back to pneus online who only show in-stock tyres and deliver within 3 days. My local Porsche Centre fit the tyres at a modest and competitive cost.

Out of interest which brand will you go for? Even with N rated tyres there at least 5 premium suppliers you can choose from.

I am going to try Michelin Pilot Sport 2. Not tried them before-but seem to consistently get good reviews.

Been told Black Circles have been bought over by Michelin Tyres .I have MPS2 on the Spyder have found then good and wear well .Recently got Michelin All weather fitted to my Yeti at Costco as they where doing a deal £100 off for 4 .I believe KF are also doing deals on Michelin at the moment .

I am looking to replace all the tyres on my 996 C4S with Michelin Pilot Sport N3 and have been looking for supply and fitted (also tried delivered) all day yesterday with suppliers on line but have hit a brick wall in that they can get the rears (2-4 days) but not the fronts! There appears to be a problem with procurement on certain sizes and makes of tyre not only Michelins but other premium makes. I have been offered a full set of Continental Sport contact 2 N2s but they do not have a good review wear wise. The search continues.

Spent the last 3 days so far looking for tyres without success as Michelins are not available anywhere in the UK as there is a shortage, even been abroad, Pirelli are only available in rears but cant verify if they are N4s but no fronts. What is it about tyres that's become so difficult??? Car is currently fitted with Pirelli N4 all round.

Will have to try OPC see what they have.

Has anyone got any ideas in the Essex/Herts area for supply and fit?
