Tyre swap...2 or 4?

Do people usually just swap the rears when they are worn and utilise the remaining tread left on the fronts, or do people swap all 4 at once? Is the later the better option for track use?

Cheers, Matt.

Personally i think you'd be fine swapping two as long as you get same make and type as rears

Thats a biy of a strange question Matt ! The only circumstance I can see where you would replace all 4 at once would be when you want to change the type of tyre you are running on. I'd certainly invest in an extra set of rims so that you can fit 2 different types of tyre eg sticky road legal Toyo R888's on one set and 'wets'/ 'normal road tyre that is trackable' on other set eg Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s.
Usual road use for 964RS means replace rears twice as often as fronts , spirited track use can turn this into replace fronts and rears together. HTH
