Tyres Again

I need to replace my rear tyres. Any other cut price sources other than Camskill & Mytyres ?
I need 2x 255 40 R17s

I don't know if they mail order, but Bracknell Tyre & Battery (01344 411323) can often undercut Mytyres

I noticed today my front tyres are both down to their wear indicators on the outside. If I were to buy tyres from one of these internet sites, how do I go about getting them fitted as I am sure the tyre shops will only fit tyres they supply. I recently had this issue getting an ESS rear box fitted as alot of the shops declined the work due to this reason.

thanks in advance.

Jason.

My local ATS puts my t'internet supplied tyres no problems at all... have also used the local National tyres and Tyre Sales.

mytryes hook you up with fitting centres

He may not be able to spell it [;)] , but Matt is correct ~ go HERE and hit the link on the RHS titled "Your Fitting Service Companies".

Stick in your postcode, and Robert is your mother's brother.

These places will almost always fit tyres supplied by other internet companies such as Camskill - pick one you trust and call for a quote. I've paid between £5 and £10 per tyre for fit + valve + balance.

Kwik Fit even fit used tyres in my experience. Locally National won't do that and I had ATS mount my track tyres, but they said they'd only do them as they were new and for cash as they aren't really supposed to do it.

Anyone got any views on Goodyear Eagle NCT5's vs other makes of tyre?
I have almost new rears but need new fronts; not sure whether to just get Eagles for the front as well or change them all to something like Toyos (having read through previous posts)

Just replaced my Pirellis with a full set of Toyo T1-R's, most impressed!!! highly recommended [:D]

The NCT5 replaced the NCT3. These are very much Goodyear's "GT" tyre as opposed to their out-and-out "sports" tyre (which is the GSD3 F1).

I used the NCT3 on the Leon and it was "very average" but (predictably) wore well.
