Tyres for 15" Teledials

I'm in the market for some new tyres for my 7 x 15" teledials and currently have Pirelli P6000's in a 215/60R15 N1 94W size which is a special Porsche fitment and is 168 Mph speed rated. I have found them OK but I know Fen hates them and wondered what other people are running. Most others in this size are either H or V rated and alot have a tread pattern that looks like it was designed for a 1960's saloon car. I have to admit I am a bit of a tyre tread snob in this respect and like a nice tread pattern. Any thoughts/suggestions welcome.............

You're out of luck for most of the current de-riguer tyres.

The Falken ZE512 is available in that size however. Looks nice and may be worth a try?

See HERE (and at £6 a corner cheaper than even the mighty mytyres.co.uk)

I got a couple of Toyo T1-R's from camskill yesterday ~ only ordered the day before. Most impressed. [8D]

I have been looking at those actually - nice looking tyre with fairly good reviews, but wasn't sure about dropping to an H rated tyre although I don't do 130Mph that often! [;)]

What is the top speed of an auto 2.7 anyway?

Bear in mind that the 132mph rating is based on it being safe at that speed for sustained running periods (10mins I think, although I really should google it before I make that claim).

You'd probably want to tell your insurer - it won't be a problem but you want them to confirm that you've told them! (Otherwise someone running into the back of you will be 'cos you have H-rated tyres on in the eyes of your insurer [;)] )

of the choice of size, I'd go for the Dunlop SP9000. I've used Dunlop in the past and never had a problem. V-rated in that size and still pretty sexy!

If you want the original 'classic' look and sizes, then Good Year NCTs (215/60 and 195/65) are excellent - much better IMO than P6000s.

I have 17" dunlop sp9000 and think they are great ;) possibly not the stickiest in the dry but wear very well and very predictable and fun. (previous 944 tyres N-3 SO2's and michelin n-1 mxxx somethings)

Don't believe they come in that size though - hence the 512 recommendation.

Glad you got your tyres on Hilux. [8D]
