Hi,

What tyres are you all using on your 17" wheels. I have 17x9 rear and 17x7.5 front. I need a new set of tyres so what would be the ideal tyres for the front.

225x45x17
205x50x17

On the rear i am going with

255x40x17

Thanks

Tim

The 205s are the standard fitment (I use these on the road). The 225s will help reduce understeer but tramline a bit more on the road.

Tim,

Given that you have the 7.5J wheels it's a good opportunity to go with the 225s. They're not generally recommended for the more usual 7J wheels but 7.5Js are ideal. As Steve says, they'll give you a bit more control over the understeer although it's more relevant on a C4 (you didn't mention which your's is!)

Regards

Dave

Michelin Pilot Sport for me. A little harder than B'stones or Conti's so a tad more noisier - at least to my ears - but good control for speed/track. No issues in the wet although gut feel was that the B'stone SO'2 I had were better on normal roads.

had pzero rosso's on mine (225 45 front, 255 40 rear) and they weren't the last word in grip but did last ages and performed really well and progressively in wet and dry conditions.. bit of a swine to get hold of this time alst year but the "rubber crisis" seems to have ended so should be findable now!..
