Tyres?!

Old chestnut, i know but what are you guys using, especially those of you who occasionally take your cars on track?

Wanted some Goodyear F1 asymetrical ones but not available in 255 rears in 17", so now unsure what to try. Had Vred Sessantas on my 944t and liked them, but wanted to try something new.
 
I'm using Bridgestone S02's on mine, very good but need new fronts. Lasted two years and 14,000 miles (including a trip to the Nurburgring).

Thing is everyone will say they have the best tyres for thier car!
 
Only had Conti road tyres on mine, lasted quite well, decent grip and endured track abuse, although overheated after 15-20 mins as did the brakes.

Now I use track tyres :)
 
Hmm, I have a second set of Cup 1s now so will probably stick some Toyo 888s on those for track. I had heard that the Toyo T1R road tyres had pretty soft sidewalls which weren't ideally suited to the 964, otherwise would have given them a go.

Ah well, it might be the Vredesteins again then!
