No doubt this has been asked before ...I am about to replace the wheels on my car to 18 Carreras 5 spoke , and the tyres I have at present are almost gone approx 2k left the fronts are 225/40 zr 18 and the rears are 265/35 zr 18 I was wondering what the differance would be in terms of handling and ride if I changed to 285/30zr 18 on the rear as I would buy the new wheels with the appropriate offsets ..I am not a fast driver and no longer do track days so which tyre make would you recommend as I would prefer a softer ride and higher milage and a final question as I am about to replace the lot what are the + and = of going to a 17 wheel and tyre
