I will be needing a set of tyres soon for my Boxster S. I have seen many suppliers recomended in the south, but does anyone know of any cheap suppliers in the north east. The OPC are quoting £900.00 for a set of Michelins fitted.

Don't know if this is any help.

I use a company called Pro tyre in Exeter, Devon. Tel- 01392 412610.
I don't know if they are independant or part of a chain. I do know that Michelin 17"ers will set you back about £550 - £600 per set. I know this because of two, yes two blow outs on relitively new tyres. Ouch!!!

They also do all the tyres in Exeter for Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Etc so got good rep.

Hope this saves you a bit, sorry if it hasn't.

Your local quick fit should be able to improve on that. I replaced rear tyres for £160 each fitted with michelin pilot sports. Even if you don't trust quick fit to fit them, I am sure you'll opc will oblige with fitting for less than £300.
