I have a feeling this may have been raised before, i have a 99 MY 996 C4 and when driving slowly it is hard to accelerate smoothly as the accelator is a little sticky you can feel it when the engine is turned off and you press it gently. It is going in to OPC on friday for somthing else (A/C related) so thought i would ask you guys to get an opnion on what it could be?

Phil

There was someone a while ago who asked the same question.
The accelerator pedal was sticking slighty. He took it to the OPC and they changed it. This fixed the problem.
As at the OPC would be my advice.
His was on a newly acquired 2nd hand car, so covered by their warranty. If yours is not covered, then I don't know what it would cost.

That might have been my car, I had exactly the same thing just after Xmas not long after buying it, I took it into my OPC and I believe they replaced something but cant tell you what as I had a few things done at the same time and all they said was it had been fixed and at the time that was good enough for me.

However it was all done under warranty though.

Do you know if that was the Porsche extended warranty. And did it make a big diffrence, as i think that it has always been like it but it is getting worse making slow acceleration a little un-smooth which i don't like.

Phil

Yes it was the Porsche extended warranty and yes to me it made a big difference it went from an un-smooth ride to a silk smooth acceleration, only ever noticed it at low speed like moving in traffic

I have the extended warranty so I will see what they say. And my problem was the same as you slow speeds gentle acceleration, thanks for that.
