Un-sun roof

Hi Guys

Anyone got any ideas how you fix the electric sunroof after it makes that horrible graunching noise and stops working? I know there is access through the zip in the headlining but is this a DIY fix or do I have to have professional help? (My wife thinks I need professional help but I don't think she means with the porker)

Thanks in advance

Glenn

Like you say Glenn access is behind the zipper in the head lining. Mine was broken when I bought the car and it was just one of the screws securing the back plate that keeps the gears in mesh had fallen out. But it could be that the gear has stripped its teeth. Would not think it was a difficult repair.

Cheers Andy,
I'm Going to undo my zip when I get in from work tonight and have a look to see what's broken. Ooer, that didn't come out very well did it!

Thanks for the info Andy, which company did you use from Germany for the parts, and would you happen to have a contact number for them by any chance.

Many Thanks

Cheers

Glenn
