Under the driver's seat

As the front electric seat adjustment button wasn't working,I removed the driver's seat this weekend to investigate .
1) The bolts came out very easily.
2)There are 2fixing positions allowing the seat rails to be moved back at least 25mm
3)Saw for the 1st time where the Hamilton & Palmer OPC fit Immobiliser was patched into the wiring. There is a loose rectangular connection block on the end of a section of the original Porsche loom(similar to the block which connects in the seat motors) lying under the seat-I have no idea whether its matching half has been replaced by the taped & soldered immobiliser wiring-maybe it's for full electric adjustment seats.
4)There are 2 modules under the seat-the alarm module part no-928-618-260-00 & the Blaupunkt BQA 80 Quadro Amplifier(made in France)--I have had a Clarion radio/cd player fitted to replace the Blaupunkt unit when the CD player failed & I suspect the amplifier is not now connected.
5)The lead to the front adjustment motor was hanging loose-it had clearly been looked at before as the 2 wires had come free from the 2 Lucar Blue connectors which were still on the motor terminals. The lead was clipped with the other motor lead to one of the underfoam seat springs with a ratchet tie, unfortunately leaving the detached lead with no free movement-hence disconnection from the Lucars.
All fixed now.
6)I was tempted to remove the pedal plywood but just sucked out all the rubbish instead-that will have to be some other time-however I found 2 wires terminated with right angle black rubber Lucars-colours- brown /brown-green-not connected to anything-presumably these are for a cruise control switch--anybody know?
7)Just contented myself by swapping over the 2 pedal rubbers-I know what you're thinking-too tight to buy new ones- seemed a good idea to me as only the outer area was part worn on each pedal.

Hopes this helps anyone with the same problem

I hope you fitted the Porsche approved truss, before attempting to lift those oh so heavy electric seats out of the car?!![;)]
