Underseal problem

Please can somebody advise what the correct underseal is that Porsche used on my 88 3.2? Secondly, where can I get it from? The underseal has split where the outer wing joins the inner wing down the rear inside edge of the wheel arch. This area must get hammered with road debris. I've dug away round the area to check that moisture had not seeped underneath. It doesn't appear to have done yet as its only the very edge of the wing's return lip that has surface rust on it. I did try normal waxoil 2 years ago but that has not prevented the splitting from getting worse. Porsche's underseal in this area is almost like sponge and must be about 2-3mm thick. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Last time I needed some I bought a can from my local Porsche approved body repairer (Reynolds of Rushock).

Help! I'm not getting anywhere fast here. I spoke to Porsche (Wilmslow) and they don't stock any underseal, they buy it in when they need it. I was told the product is called Dinitrol and you have to heat it before spraying it on. I was also told they hadn't bought any for years (they work on newer cars in the main that don't use this product I assume) but when they last bought some it was from Partco in Stockport and he gave me a number for them. Anyhow, I've just spoke to Partco and they've never heard of the stuff!! Any advise as to what I can use as I don't reckon Waxoyl is up to the heavy duty job standing up to road debris hitting it in this area. Any pointers please??

Dinilrol, similar in some respects to Waxol. I've used it in the past to glue old English sports cars together. I bet I've got a contact for it somewhere in my old files. I'll have a dig around and get back to you.

I'm back...didn't take long. Found an old Frost Restorations catalogue. Really helpful guys, here's a link to their website.

I believe you can get Dinitrol from DGB Sterling - based in Bedford.
