UNDERSIDE LOOK OK?

Yep, fuel lines look properly crusty where they go over the torsion bar carrier. Brake lines not far behind!
Have a good poke around at the inner sills just behind the torsion bar mount. Bodywork looks pretty original and not messed with.
 
A bit tatty and needs some love I think but what can you expect? Apart from the above needs a good clean. Surface rust removed and an underseal.

Just passed mot on Thursday with no advisories. Would they not have mentioned this?

IMHO they would be an MOT failure in most test stations. I would get it inspected by a Porsche specialist as we (me and Rob) are only working off experience and some photos.
 
Depends what one means by OK. Looks fine for an old car and very difficult to tell if any of the corrosion on lines is surface or gone through enough to break up. Personally I would start by spraying something like Wurth rost off on every nut bolt or join then looking a week later or so. Surface corrosion will generally be dulled by that sort of stuff and other time cleaned up nicely. Even on my race car which looks uber clean in places underneath I am gradually doing a bit of cleaning up and refurb as I reckon I can get it ultra clean like a trailered concours car over the next year or so. Nothing special in that its just that everything was cleaned up back in 2010 when it was built and has had little use since just exposure to air.

Its an idea Rich, I may start recording as I go much like I did when we weighed everything coming off the car. My latest mega find is Bilt Hamber's Deox-C. I have been using that stuff to clean up the handbrake components and I almost over the past 2 days got rid of every trace of rust from the mechanisms components. At some point I want to get stuck into all the engine bay brackets and clips, most of which we never bothered with when building it into a race car.
