...although I don't necessarily believe "new 2.5-liter flat four-cylinder producing as much as 360HP" - unless its turbocharged.

Well just compare the photos this 2008 and post above 2012 - different? - not really - when will someone do something to hide the hood/roof showing when its down?[:-]

I think the forced induction they mention probably equates to the turbocharging necessary to produce 360 hp. Looks rather nice to me[;)]

Looks nice, rumoured to be twin turbo but will probably be critised for exhaust sound being a flat 4.

Nice to see they are sticking to a fabric hood rather than going over to a folding hardtop as most others have.

I reckon that rumours about 360HP are just padding for the article. We know the 991 Carerra has 350HP. The Boxster will not get more than that. Previous rumours were that the turbocharged flat 4 will be introduced in the second generation of the next Boxster, so perhaps it may get somewhere near that figure when the second generation of the 991 Carerra has way surpassed it.

That is not to say that the turbocharged flat4 won't be capable of producing 360HP...

I think you're absolutely right, flat6 - it will start with the same engine as the "base" 991.
