Hi

After activating the green pdas light on my dash clock I was wondering what this unused warning light is for?

Thanks

Rob

Rob,

As you can tell from the rush of replies, nobody has the feintest idea!!! As I'm sure you already realise, that light isn't documented in the manual and the graphic is pretty difficult to see without a bulb behind it. I have a photo I took of mine some time ago and the graphic looks like the image of a car with a vertical arrow pointing downwards from the centre of the car. I can't be sure because the image isn't great anyway.

If my description of the graphic is correct, my guess is that it could be another "never implemented" light somehow connected to the PDAS system in connection with the accelerometers. The image kind of implies something to do with "Centre of Gravity" - but I have to admit that I'm just guessing.

It's interesting to see that your photo shows your ABS light to have "Anti Lock" on it, whereas mine (in a German LHD car) just has an ABS symbol.

Regards

Dave

yep, it's got an arrow pointing up towards the car from underneath centre as well.

My clock has got the abs symbol on it, I stole this photo from someone on rennlist!

No one replied on there either! I may connect up and see what happens!

ORIGINAL: Melv

Shows when the drive is being transferred to the front wheels on a C4.

I thought the 964 C4 had PERMANENT drive to the front wheels!! Mel's post did make me think though - I wonder if that light is something to do with the centre diff lock?? Again, I'm guessing, but if the green light might be for the rear diff lock it might seem reasonable that the extra light could be for the centre diff. The arrow pointing to the middle of the car kinda gives some credence to that idea.

Dave

964 C4 does have permanent 4WD, but light comes up when more drive is transferred to the front when the system detects wheel spin....AFAIK!!!
