UPDATE ON RASPING NOISE ON BOXSTERS

Hi all. my Boxster S has been in OPC Newcastle for two days now, roof stripped, gearbox tightened up to chassis,plus more NO LUCK with noise, now on day 3 , new silencer to be fitted! fingers crossed! (warrenty job thank godness) will let you all know tomorrow when she returns(I hope)
 
Hi all, Success!!!!!!!!!!!(probably! will wait until car is cold tomorrow morning!to be 100percent!)New silencer fitted BUT it wasn,t that! But warrenty job so I am well chuffed! No the problem was engine heat shield, not exhaust heat sheet, engine heat shield goes all the way round the back of engine between engine and bulkhead behind driver/ passenger area, they took it off and put it back on, NO NOISE ! Hurrah, ta all, hope this hepls some one else at some point,[

Blimey sounds like they were changing anything and everything to silence this rattle [:D] Good Luck for tomorrow
 
ARRR, Sorry all, its back today same old noise!!!!!It was gone on friday but back by sunday, so perhaps they have found the problem(heat shield) but not cured it?! TRYING TO BE AN OPTIMIST, AS DARO911 WOULD SAY, will let you know what happens next!!!!
