This is a great turn out so thank you all.

We shall meet at The Triton at Brantingham and we will post directions for this in next couple of days. There will be coffee/tea and bacon/sausage sandwiches available for all at £ 4.50 per head from 1000 onwards. First car will leave 1030 and then we will set following cars off at 2 min. intervals. This means that if you want time to enjoy brekkies you had better be there on time.

There will be a max. 30 min. break at about 45 miles out for coffee/loos etc.

Finish will be approx. a further 40 miles on at The Market Place Restaurant, Malton which is owned by John Hawkins owner of Specialist Cars. Link to restaurant is www.the-market-place.co.uk . Link to his showroom which will be open on the day is www.specialistcarsltd.co.uk

John is very kindly opening the restaurant just for us and is going to serve the following 2 main courses at £8.99 per head.
Fillet of Sea Bass, Pak Choi, Dill Buree Blanc Butter
Braised Shoulder of Lamb with Mash, Roast Root Seasonal Vegetables and Rich Gravy.

Drinks etc. will also be available and from our personal experience I can tell you that the food is first class.

So what we really need from you is a) orders for coffee/tea and sausage/bacon sandwiches at the Triton ( please state preference) and b) orders for the food at The Market Place again stating pref. please.

If you could get this info. back to us fairly quickly it would help us to help the 2 hostelries.

Thanks in advance - if anyone has any questions then please contact us either over forum or direct by e mail - equally if anyone can encourage anyone else to come that would be great.

Andrew and Steve

Thanks to all above who have been in touch re. food - a steer from rest of you would be helpful at some stage as pre ordering will help the establishments who have opened just to help us.

Glad that the Chappell family can join us.

Mr Eldred I know that your mojo will have the desired effect - whatever that may be.

We are doing the final run through next week then it will simply be a case of running an opening car on the day to ensure that nothing disastrous has happened!

We will be posting directions to the start and some opening instructions in a couple of weeks time on the forum so please keep your eyes open for them.

Thanks for responses.

The Wolds have a certain grandeur even in bad weather but a fine day would be nice ( would however bring out Sunday drivers ! ).
