Update satnav mapping for 06 Boxster

I have an 06 Boxster with the inbuilt satnav. The mapping for the satnav is provided on a CD disk which lives in a CD reader in the front boot.
The mapping is now getting well out of date and I have asked my local Porsche dealer (Cambridge) about an update.
Th response was that there is an 08 disc (which isn't much different from the 06 disc and is also out of date), but Porsche then swapped to providing the mapping on a memory card and there have been no further disc based maps produced.
Is there a way to update the mapping in this system?

Andrew!

I think you must have spoken to the wrong person, because that it tosh! The latest map disk for your system (PCM2.1) is dated 08.2012. (About £350 from Porsche). Your system may also need an operating system software update. I did do a write-up on the Cayman forum about these updates. If you can't find it, drop me an email and Ill send it to you.

The map disk is a DVD in the front boot, by the way.
