Upgrade to 17" wheels

I am currently running 18s on my 3.2 SSE, my opinions on fitting bigger wheels are.
The 17s will reduce the turning circle very slightly and will give a slightly harder ride, but i feel the cornering on 17s can be as good as 16s if the car is well set up. You will not notice any difference in weight on a std road car.
The wheels may be slightly harder to turn in a parallel parking situation but then thats not really what the 911s about anyway.
I would recommend a strut brace for anyone with a 911 but especially for bigger wheels.
I noticed that when I fitted 18s, which is extreme for the 911, the geometry of the car was far more important and i certainly needed a strut brace to stop the front wings from flexing when cornering.
I expect you will get some answers from owners that have 17s fitted but I think unless you are massively into track days you should be fine with 17s.
You can see some pics of my car which has a turbo II bodykit and is lowered at http://www.essentialstyling.com/911_to_964.htm
I hope this is some help, Regards Simon

I traded my Fuchs wheels almost as soon as I bought the 3.2 Coupe. I went to Brian Goff at Jasmine who gave me a good deal. They were a direct fit, with no need for spacers or the like. They are 17" Turbo Cup 1's and you can see the car on the official Porsche web site at:

Select Pictures and then Sort by 'highest rating' and my car is no 3. I think they are drop dead georgeous - but then I would.
Brian, by the way, is very helpful and ready to offer sound advice.
