Hi

I already have a becker 4720 in it, which looks just like a Cdr21, but the nav isnt upto much even on a good day, so upgrade or not? and if so what to? the most popular seem to be the pioneer avic systems, or should i try and stick with a single din unit?

Any experience or views welcome

(PS - will leave it in the car when i sell it (if i sell it) and no its not most or anything like that)

Many Thanks
Jon

I have gone through this quandry.

I needed bluetooth phone and satnav. My 2003 996 had MOST, so it has been a pain. I have got the Kenwood 5240, but now need an amp and a few more bits and bobs. it will be 2K before I have finished.

I have alternator whine and the system only works with the ignition on, both of which hopefully will be sorted on Monday.

I think Richard had an Avic system, but his knob was too small ;-) and it didn't play MP3's from a memory stick properly

Now new amp installed, ignition problem sorted and alternator whine massively reduced. Another £575 spent and getting better. The alternator whine is suposed to be sorted on Wednesday, so fingers crossed
