I have been contacted by Richard Grout the DP of Porsche Leicester with an offer of a free winter check for your Porsche on either 30th of Nov or 1st of Dec. To take advantage of this generous offer please contact the centre on.01162764488 I have now been informed that the offer will run throughout the month of December!

Yes, but you paid £99 and probably everything was okay - maybe a top-up of washer fluid.

The people getting a 'free' winter check will find themselves with a nice little invoice for all the additional work that needed doing. [;)]

Wonder if i should take the RS to them and see if they know what it is[;)]

Actually might take the 944.....

When we did this at Notts No one got an invoice ,just advice and it was then their personal choice if they wanted work done. I can assure you work will not be done without consent.

So very true - quote of £822 for replacement rear seal, £625 for replacement rear discs, £45 for wiper blades and £130 for ignition key (as mine has a slight tear in the rubber bit) - all plus VAT of course!

Oh and apparently the car shouldn't be driven until the rear seal is done, so it's being done at Chrsitopher Neils, where I bought it just over a month ago.

It was serviced and MOT'd before I bought it, so they should have spotted these items prior to me buying it.

Will get the other seals and clutch checked whilst the engine is out.

went to Nottingham for the 993 to be done.

don't think an OPC would know anough about a 911t so i won't be taking part this time.

Is this for PCGB members only? I live practically opposite the new Leicester OPC (seriously! a 2 minute walk!) and would love to take advantage of this! Scared to think about what they would say about my 91 928 GT however :)

It should be - you frequent here, you find out about it here and you're not prepared to pay £50 a year for the membership for the benefits?[&o]

The offer will be going out in the form of a letter from Club Office to members only. If they dont have your address you wont get the invite.

Also the photo shoot and buffet in June will be made Members only in future!

My 964 is with the Leicester OPC at the minute, they have technicians that are familiar with the older cars,i am sure they have had a 928 in already for belts,so far i am impressed with the team very customer orientated, and above all they seem like a bunch of Porsche enthusiasts.
