I have received a request from Porsche Cars - They need an early Boxster for a static display next week, and will loan the owner a new Boxster or Cayman - Can anyone help? Let me know ASAP:-

[FONT=arial"]"We have a training event for our Centre sales staff happening at Silverstone from Monday 25 - Wednesday 27 October, and as part of this event we are looking to display a range of vehicles "through the ages" -
from 1950s to modern day.

As part of this display, we would really like to display an early 986 Boxster, at quite a pinnacle time in PCGB's history we felt it important to display this car.
Its probably also important to point out that we would need one that is as original as the day it left the factory - as I
know there are many with modifications.

We will ensure that the car is covered under our insurance policy, so if you are able to confirm a registration, value, and owner's name that will help in getting that side of things sorted.

In exchange, we would be happy to arrange a loan of a current Boxster or Cayman, I could try and get this arranged so that it coincided with the loan, and the owner would not be left without a car.

In summary the event details are:

Event: Flat 6 training event, for Porsche Centre sales staff (internal
event)
Car: 986 Boxster - must be original, with no after market alterations.
Loan time: Sunday 24th October (pm) - Wednesday 27 October (evening)
Locaton: Silverstone, Stowe complex
Use: Purely static display with other Porsche vehicles from 1950 to present
day.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]"

I guess a 550 couldn't really be classed as "early"! But then I've got a track day at Bedford on Monday and I doubt they'd like me to track their loaner!

I have an original one, registered 1999 and live approx 8 miles from Silverstone if that helps
