Urgent Help Needed - Clutch Wear

Guest

Is there any way I can tell the state of my 993 C2S clutch without taking it into the shop and having it stripped down?

I' m guessing pedal position is' nt an indicator.

Thanks,
Peter.

I had a judder pulling away (initially in first, then when changing from 1st to 2nd at low revs) just before mine needed replacing.

The reason for asking - perhaps I should have mentioned this earlier - is that the rear main oil seal AND clutch were ' replaced' by a specialist in March.
However, the car has just been serviced by an OPC and they found the rear-main has not been changed for some time and is leaking. As it is now questionable whether the rear main oil seal work was ever carried out, I' m keen to find out if the clutch was ever replaced. I' m obviously reluctant to remove the engine/transmission from the car but how else can I find out?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Peter.
