URGENT HELP PLEASE!!!?

I have a problem, and any advice/ideas hugely appreciated.

I took my 2006 Cayenne yesterday to a car audio company, to have a new Sat Nav/I Pod/phone/DVD system installed. It also comes with a rear camera for parking purposes.

Anyways, I received a call just as I was due to collect the car, to be told that there was a problem. The engine warning light had come on as they had finished the installation, and the engine was now barely running. They were bemused as to why this was, insisted it could not have been because of the installation, and that perhaps it was a coincidence. Obviously the car was working perfectly when dropped off.

Does anyone have any idea whether the installation of the new audio system could have caused this warning light to come on, and what one does next?

...

I am no expert, believe me, but just had blue tooth logic fitted to mine similar age ,
Guy disconnected battery , then u have to kinda reboot everything...left a couple of warning lights on re drive train which as the book said went off after a couple of hundred yards .............ur prob has to be connected

on the positive side if ur in London Area ,West or Hertfordshire i have 2 top guys , Porsche trained with mobile services email me .

Vic is right, the car has gone into 'limp mode' and systems need rebooting, probably as a result of the battery being disconnected. Bit surprised the audio installers don't have this happen all the time. Hope you get it sorted simply, your opc will obviously be able to run through the diagnostics but will cost a bit....

Or if the ]PCM was taken out the main computer is searching for it(usually every 60 start) but now no battery is looking for it.
Main computer looking for:
every start: immo, airbag, tacho,
Every 5-60 starts: other computers or devices.
