Urgent request CV joint boot bolt size?

Hi guys,

really quick advice needed as to what size and where to get replacement bolts to hold the cv joint boots on.

I need to replace all 24 as they are not in great nick and i've got both driveshafts off now.

I have a unicarpart, eurocarpart, screwfix, halfords near me.

Any advice would be great.

 
I think they are specialised, and you should be talking to the manufacturers. They are not a normal shaped bolt, as they have a tapered shank, although the thread is pretty standard M8 (I think).

The good news is that I have removed and re-used the bolts on mine several times and never had a problem. Torque 'em up and check them at service time.

Cheers buddy, i've done some digging on line and some people advice to use 8x1.25x50 bolts as thats whats used on 911's and boxters etc. i will order some and use what i have for now.
 
Just realised i've made a huge mistake....

I didn't draw a line on the inner and outer races which the ball bearings go in and now there is very little play in the driveshaft. please please can someone help as to what i can do to rectify this? :-(
