From a seperate email (which I forgot to include above)...
We’ll need to clean and photograph the car, and we’ll need permission for one of our testers to drive it for photography and assessment. Nothing fast, dangerous or abrasive will be done to it; it’s for the cameras, mainly.

Gosh we are popular!
I received the following from Autocar today:

We're producing a package of group test features on some used performance cars for an upcoming issue. We need the owner of a 2000 or 2001-registered Boxster S to be available, with his/her car, on either Thursday 24th or Friday 25th July. He'll need to bring it to a test facility just off junction 11 of the M25, and be available all day for an interview, and for photography. He'll also need to agree to one of Autocar's road testers driving the car on the day.
The feature will be appearing in Autocar in August, and we're happy to provide a free copy of the magazine to the owner, plus to send digital copies of the images to him, but we must insist that any images provided are not for publication, as we'll retain all publishing rights to them. We'll cover his fuel expenses (as long as he's not coming from darkest Scotland), and throw in a free lunch too.
Could you put the feelers out and come back to me to let me know of any joy?
With many thanks,

Matt Saunders,
Features Editor,

Please email me (use the link to the left - under my name) and let me know if you are able to help. I'll pass the details on and let Matt decide who he wants.
If you don't email I might not pick the details up - I'm out of the office and not able to get to the forum so easily over the next couple of days.

I'm stunned that we have not one response! Come on people - you can have your car featured in a national magazine. The shoot is this Friday, they anticipate that they will be finished after lunch. Location is near Chobham in Surrey. I'm gettting rather embarrased that the club can't come up with a car for Autocar, if anyone can help then please let me know...

Would, have been only too happy but from deepest Scotland so dont think they would cover my fuel bill [8|] Chris

My car's too recent (2004) - plus I won't actually be getting it until Thursday or Friday. If it had been suitable, at least it would have been clean! Chris.

I have a 2000 S with about 42K on the clock and live near Twickenham so location no bother if you are still looking.
