Used Car Warranty

Contacted them and got a QT of £493.80 it seems to cover a lot of things not presently covered by Porsche will have to read the small print ,still have to factor in breakdown recovery and car hire when car is in for repair ,a lot better than the £1200 for the new Porsche warranty

Looks pretty good. What rate should we set for the OPC's hourly rate for the quote.
about £110 + vat.....also check the small print for a "claim limit" - usually these policies have a limit in any year of about £5K

on warranty work think they get around £50 /hr from Porsche . Looked at various other w/comp all got catches in there policy .. I took out Porsche ext warranty at end OCT and so far had around £1600 claim on cats alone and a AMG MERC as hire car for 2weeks... I really took it out to cover engine &gearbox .... but also had horn/ heater motor and a regass done underwarranty same time without any hassle ..and informed on work progress every 2 days... great service from OPC Glasgow p.s Porsche now use RAC who provide "total flat bed " vehicle /&
car was uplifted within the hour and Merc del 2hours later G.

Brian,

Do you need car hire if you have the bus pass?

[:D][:D][:D]I took the bus into town the other day ...never again 50 mins for a 20 min car journey and you don't need to sit beside some smelly junky

with the changes to the OPC warranty scheme I'm surprised they would accept your car gordon (or did you get in before the new regulations came into effect) as I understood ANY non-porsche parts (i.e. discs/pads) would invalidate the warranty?

Can i just conform that this is for 911"s as well as boxters? Its just i thought id read somewhere that 911"s this lot wud not cover...cheers

David,

I got a quote for my boxter S 2001 which they would cover I guess you should visit the web site and see what they say

Chris

Apart from Alcon discs &rs29s the car is bog standard + if its done within the existing warranty period they dont need to see the car G
