V5 Model Description

All,
Having a bit of a tussle with the DVLA over my V5 for my RSL.

They insist that they have no code for "Carrera RS" despite this being the description on the German log book and have described the car as "Carrera".

Could we have a quick straw poll on what's on the V5 for your cars so I can either put my mind at rest or limber up for another round with the bureacrats in Swansea,
Thanks,
Kevin.

Not quite up to your standard but, if you put my reg into any of the "HPI type" checking web sites it comes up as "Carrera 4", therefore DVLA do sub-divide the Carreras.

My C2 comes back as "911 CARRERA 2 COUPE", whereas the Cup is just "911 CARRERA"

Hi Kevin

Mine just says 'PORSCHE'. Nothing under 'model'. I wouldn't worry as long as all the important stuff is correct.

Porsche 911C RSR

i think the 911c came from the dvla and am fairly sure that i added the rsr as some people used to refer to clubsports as rsrs (or n-gt...)
dvla just put down what i wrote

was 4 years ago however so process may have changed

Thanks guys think I will declare on "Carrera", apparently the DVLA now have to work with numeric codes supplied by the manufacturers and there is no code for "Carrera RS" although there is a code for "Carrera 2 RS".

Think I will relax, at least the Chassis number is correct now, they didn't get that right first time round either!

Cheers,
Kevin.
PS Anyone going to either Oulton on the 1st or Combe on the 9th August?, first days out for me in the Ferrarigelb RSL.

My V5 says '911RS'. Insurance says '964 Carrera 2 RS'. I'll settle with anything that has the hallowed RS letters on it. [:D]
