anyone done a full comparison on the two and come to a conclusion
as to which to buy and for what reason ?

The diesel Torque just really suits the big 4X4 ... Porsche should have always made the Diesel from the start ..... someone convince me the Petrol has it's benefits ....

Well it worries me that EU is telling us how bad diesel is for us and the planet.
difficult to know what they will do to deter us .The french would riot for weeks
if they hiked the price .I am guessing that the petrol will do 25mpg will try to pick
up a brochure tomorrow to see .
i wont do heavy mileage trips so i think having lived with the 18 MPG of my 4.5
then3 litre should make me smile ...

Diesel is like Marmite, you either love it or hate it.

I like diesel for its torque and the distance you can go between fills.

bit off topic but what do you do,in winter with diesel in Shetland ?
does the colder weather cause troubles ?

We bask in the heat from the Gulf Stream, so no problems here temperature wise. Cannot say the same for the prices we have to pay, you'd swear they posted the stuff here in one litre tins.

The Highlands get far colder winter temperatures and they use normal pump diesel as far as I know.

Going off topic, I love my Cayenne but one of the tyres has a slow leak which is losing 1-2psi a day. A trip to Porsche Aberdeen is called for as a new N rated tyre is probably needed.

If the tyre is ok put a tube of that liquid puncture repair
in. it does the job
Mercedes owners get used to using it as MB rims really have a bad name for
internal corrosion.
Chinese alloy i guess ?

Not sure about using liquid seal in the tyre I think I will use it as a last resort as it leaves a messy goo which tyre fitters don't like, or at least it used to.

Thanks for the tip though tiskey.
