Valuation for "agreed value" insurance

MTBR

New member
I have decide to switch my RS to an agreed value policy this year, probably should have done so a couple of years ago.
Any one care to recommend someone to value my car?

Also who should I get to refurbish my wheels and brakes (cosmetic)?

Many thank

Mark

Hi Mark,

Glad to hear you are you are still enjoying the car.

potentially the best refurb is Diamond styling near sevenoaks 01732 779100, but they do not come cheap, last quote I had was £1600, no doubt you get what you pay for.

Quite a few RS owners have used the refurb services of Adrian (oop North) on 07831 572087, you will have to check as I am clearly in no position to quote, but I have seen some wheels he did for for £850 that looked spot on, even with the fabled "Speedline for Porsche" etching under the lacquer.
I will definitely give him a call when I get round to sorting my own wheels.

With respect to valuation for insurance purposes, the last time I did this through the club (on the black RS) I sent various photos to Steve Kevlin at PCGB who more or less went with the reasonable value I put on the car, which was fine for the requirements of the insurance company.

In terms of valuing the car, as we all know, mileage, condition, provenance, model varity etc.. affect the price, you can look at recent ads and word of mouth to get an idea of what the car is worth and go from there.
