valuation

Good question - when looking on the net prices vary a lot for the S2 Cabs.

I too am curious for the current values as I am thinking of putting my low mileage Turbo Cab up for sale.

I hope you will share the valuation.

Best regards

Niels

Hi all, my insurance is due soon and I wanted to get a more accurate valuation done as I think it is under insured at the moment. Do you get a valuation with the porsche certificate of authenticity? or would I have to do this separately? If so, can anyone recommend someone they have used before? I live in Kent if this makes any difference, many thanks, George

If you were PCGB members you could get a valuation from the club FOC, but they will not do a valuation for non members. There are people out there who will - for a price! My insurers (Classicline) will, for instance, I think it costs £25 - for adding an agreed value to the insurance policy. There are posts/threads on here about getting a valuation, search should find some.

have you tried asking your insurance company for their opinion on value, after all, they are the ones with their 'finger on the pulse' so to speak .....I contacted mine a few months ago and they agreed that my car was very much under insured, they happily increased my cover by a substantial amount and would be happy to match any value given by PCGB. I may do this if I get around to renewing my membership, right now it's not a priority for me. This cost me around an extra £40 per year, car is now insured for £25k

regards

Pete

I had an agreed value with Lancaster Insurance.

All I had to do was e-mail them fresh photographs of the car, fill in a form with respect to service history and the welding/paint work that had been done. They use another company for valuation who came back slightly below my own valuation. All quite painless, but happy that I could get something to the standard of the S2 that I currently own should the worst occur.

Footman James offered me an agreed value for £10 a year, no evidence required, if it's not that much. My S2 is insured for £8k currently, but I'm thinking of putting that up a bit. Must dig my policy out...

Ok thankyou very much, I think I will talk to them I always though my premium would go sky high but these sound reasonable, plus I want to have it insured for the right amount, whatever that may be. Have been wanting to join the club for a while now, so seems like the right time to join. Once again thanks for your comments, George.
