Had a good look at an immaculate Black sport with only 28k on the clock and without the M030 suspension upgrade and wondered what sort of price I should be prepared to pay. thanks

That sounds like a lovely car. I think the M030 option was only available on the clubsport, could be wrong though.

IMHO the market for the 968 is a little flat at the moment and I have not had much luck selling my car because the prices are varying so much.

However, the Sport is probably the most desireable version and despite what everyone says about condition such a low mileage is going to bump the price up.

If it was me (and looking at the other cars on the market) I wouldnt want to pay any more than £13000-£14000 but I guess the right buyer would pay more for such an example.

If you are interested in the car get the calipers checked and find out when the belts were last changed.

Just noted I gave the wrong description

If anyone is interested its Yellow with black interior and for sale at Northways for only £16995!! You can get a LHd with 100km at Specialist cars at Malton for a touch less!!!!

Gordon,

I paid very close to half that for a 968 Sport, speed yellow with full black leather, 65k miles, FSH, new cams, chain and tensioner recently fitted. Generally in very good condition with just a few minor cosmetic issues that I can live with, it was bought to be used regularly and consequently will probably collect a few more imperfections over time.

Originally I wanted a CS for the "less is more" concept and looked at quite a few upto a value of £15k, both private sales and at specialists. Many were high spec. cars with most of what you get in the Sport as standard, so it really defeated the object of buying one of those CS`s on that basis.

I enjoy driving the car so much I now use it everyday, opting for the Sport over a CS was a good decision, the Sport options make it very user friendly.
