Value of PCM2

Has anyone recently bought or sold a PCM2 unit without SatNav. I am looking to try and establish a fair price for a second hand unit (996.642.214.05) which I appreciate is a subjective matter. Doubt I would add the SatNav but would be handy to control my iPod through the Dension I have installed and can ditch the CD storage which is not used.

I presume that they are a relatively straight forward upgrade and install to my CDR23.

Thanks

Word of warning - my PCM2 is faulty and was told by my inde that can't use one off another car - must get new/recon unit from Porsche.......perhaps someone could verify if this is correct??

I have changed PCM without any problems. I have a spare Unit that I bought from ebay Germay that is only in german and will not change language and I do not want to risk selling to anyone. But I will use for spare parts. What part is not working.

In answer to the first posting. The cost of the retro fit parts is around £100, it took me about 2 hours to fit. All the instructions can be found on Renntech. Expect to pay between £650-850 for PCM with sat module. If you do not have the bose amp a better option is fitting the Pioneer or Kenwood system.
