Value on 40th Anniversary 996 ?

Been offered 40k part ex at JCT600 for my 04 Plate 40th 996 with 13,200 miles on it, fpsh, condition as youd expect at that mileage but 2 wheels curbed (fixable) otherwise immaculate.

price was against a nearly new c4s cab.

Hard to judge price on this model as so few around but i'm thinking dealer would retail it for 44-45k??

Car has all normal nice 40th bits plus - upgrade stereo, comfort tinted windscreen, rear wipe but no nav and on tires with under 1k miles on them

Anyone able to tell me if i'm better off selling private and if so how easy will it sell? i reckon its likely to be one of the lowest mileage in country

Cheers,

Tim

You have a unique model there, with engine upgrade, I would try a private sale, You can then haggle the price down of nearly new C4s Go for it Tim, try pistonheads site.
Good luck. John

agreed i expect them to sell it for low-mid forties as it has no sat nav(no prob for me but seems to affect values)depends if you want the hassle of a private sale to save a couple of grand??

If you wanted, you can retrofit PCM2. You'd need to get the wheels refurbed for a private sale, and many 996 private buyers also look for cars with the OPC warranty included.

You may get more with a private sale, but there will be costs attached, and possible risks.

Go on, try and squeeze the OPC a bit more! To be fair though, not a bad px price already.

agrred rob-i only got 35 for mine a year ago with similar spec and mileage for prorata age so 40 not bad really imo

Thankyou for all the fast replies and helpful advice

I was going to fit pcm2 when i bought the car but heard it was a hugely expensive nightmare..not true??
