Now then folks
Can anybody tell me the strength of the S2 valve springs.??
+ The Turbo valve springs.???
+ if the turbo ones are stronger will they fit on S2 valves..????

Have you checked the workshop manual?[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]My guess is that they won't fit as the S2 has 16 of them (actually 32) to fit in when the Turbo has 8 or 16 so they will likely be gigger diameter. Similarly the valves on the Turbo will be bigger suggesting different spring size if not rating. I'm not even sure if the Turbo has double valve springs but I know the S2 does for sure.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

What's yopur plan? Are you hoping to prevent valve bounce by fitting stronger springs?

Remember. Stronger valve springs are harder to compress, and that actually robs your engine of power (a remarkable amount in fact). You should (in an ideal world) fit valve springs that are only just strong enough to close your valves without allowing any bounce. Anything stronger, and you'll never hit 200 mph [:D]

I have a "cunning" plan...[;)][;)]

IF i install some form of "forced" induction.. I will need some stronger valve springs to stop the valve flutter....+ im just trying to do it on a budget...That doesnt mean scrimping ,just being frugal with the ££££££...[;)][;)]

Im not after 200mph...[;)][;)]

Very cunning indeed. You could probably also find valve springs from other cars that would do the job nicely as well. They won't be identical to the Porsche items, but then you don't want them to be.

198mph is fine [:D]
