Vanishing headlamp washer

I have an 03 3.2s with the headlamp washers. Inb the recent cold weather i inadvertantly tried to wash the headlights and it seems now that i have lost one of the spray heads from the passenger side headlamp washer. i just spoke to an independent garage and was told that the entire unit would need replacing ie front bumper off etc. £220?!! Is it not possible to get a new little nozzle and put it in??? Any advice would be appreciated.

The spray nozzle is bolted to the headlight mounting tray, so you can just release the headlight to access it. I'd get a second opinion if I were you.

The washer nozzle is part of the headlamp unit - its on the triangular corner section. The nozzles can be accessed by removing the headlamp unit (as you would to replace a bulb). I would have thought the triangular section was replaceable - its certianly listed as a separate part..

Part No. 996 631 045 01 -'trim' left.

The part number above seems to be the same on my parts listing for cars with and without washers, so i'd check the part number and price with the OPC first. You may also need to renew any retaining strip which holds the triangular section in place.

You do not need to remove the bumper - just the headlamp assembly (detailed in your owners manual)

You have lost one of the 2No round bottom spray jets from the unit.

Porsche do not sell these little plastic things on their own.

I had the same situation and had to by a replacement unit. Tried the breakers but no luck.

Yes 911sse, that sounds correct. I have rung further independents and opc and they all say the unit comes as one and the 'nipple' is not sold separately. What did you end up doing?

Complete nozzle:
LH - Part number: 996.628.333.00 - £93.74+VAT

Removal
1. Remove main headlights.
2. Remove spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system on the left side .
3. Undo M6 hexagon nut from the spray nozzle holder.
4. Separate plug-in coupling and take out the spray nozzle.
5. Loosen hose clamp and pull hose off the spray nozzle.
Note
A stuck hose can be pulled off more easily if it is heated with a hot-air gun.
6. Remove spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system on the right side .
7. Undo M6 hexagon nut from the spray nozzle holder and lift the spray nozzle out.
8. Loosen hose clamp and pull hose off the spray nozzle.

Installation
1. Push hose as far as it will go onto the new spray nozzle and fasten the hose clamp.
2. Reinstall new spray nozzle with holder in the same position. Tightening torque of the M6 hexagon nut5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)
3. Push plug-in coupling to lock with an audible click, then check the locking with a slight pull.
4. Install main head headlight and check position of the spray nozzle in the cover trim. Remove the main head again and centre the spray nozzle if necessary.
5. Install main headlight, check it and perform a function test.
