Very old Porsche Blaupunkt radio/cass

New member
Hopefully there will be someone on the forum who will be able to help! I have been given a very old Porsche Blaupunkt autoradio with cassette player, as it dates roughly to the age of my car. I am having rather a problem finding a serious enthusiast who would look at it for me and advise whether it is repairable. I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks

Thanks very much for the suggestions. Unfortunately, fixmyradio doesn't look at anything this old. The unit doesn't have a bar-code, so they won't have the parts!

I guess 30 odd years is pushing it, but maybe.. somewhere.. there is someone with a box of bits and the knowledge who can look at it, and know how to get it working?

How about all these . . . probably used to domestic radio's but might be able to help (http://www.vintage-radio.com/contacts/repairers.html )

Since the web site was started my working partner has retired. 30% of my work is on vintage sets - radio and 405 line TV. I have an Aurora converter, Band 1 crystal controlled modulator and a PLL band 3 modulator. I recently obtained a massive quantity of spares and complete radios from Joe Urban in Fife so I am very well equipped.

All general vintage radio / TV / Audio repair to professional and vintage amplifiers/ restoration work undertaken. If it has valves, it will be fixed. Price comes second to providing a good service to someone who will appreciate a job well done. Not a shop / business, just enthusiastic. Even the odd transistor set gets through sometimes! Callers are welcome. You don't have to buy something. If you want to discuss a problematic fault or bounce ideas around, by all means I'd like to hear from you. Will collect and return, depending on area.
