Just wondering if anyone else notices a slight play in the steering..

Its not major - its not like the car wnaders all over the road or anything - I've had 2 opinions from good specialists - one is that the rack is gone.. the other is that its a changeover in the knuckle...

Does anyone else notice a slight play ? Noticable with the steering at centre - you can rock it slightly... makes no difference if the engine is running or not, so I think that rules out the power steering pump.

TIA

Alan

Could well be play in the track rod end ball joints, or the inner track rod end joint. I had new inner track rod ends on mine last year. Not very noticeable through the steering wheel, but it did make a clicking noise when the wheel was turned with the car stationary. One of mine was a tight joint, and the other was loose.

No clicking noise... Had it checked over recently and the only thing that showed up was a worn drop link on the front passenger side.

Will get them checked again...

will do - I presume you mean the suspension top mounts ?

I had the full suspension changed to MO60 about a year ago..
