VERY unpopular wife...

Mrs craig2105 walked in the door very sheepishly last night. Apparently she didn't see the S2 parked in the driveway and reversed straight into it. I couldn't see the damage to the nose properly in the dim light so I'm dreading opening the garage door this morning...

What is the recommended duration of sulking and general hostility in these cases?

I am sure your wife feels more than mortified, is that not punishment enough [&:][&:][&:]

You could use a ploy with which all men are very familiar. Store this up and use the circumstances in any argument for many years to come!

You know that money you had earmarked for a new kitchen/bedroom/conservatory/lounge suite? Well I think you can now spend that on another Porsche.[8D]

Just got my first quote. To remove the front PU, strip it back, repair and prepare for paint, and blend into the badge panel, bonnet, wings etc.

£1000 [][][]

I'm struggling to upload any pics at present, but suffice to say, the cost of repair seems totally disproportionate to the apparent damage. However, the paint around the point of impact has cracked and flaked off the PU, meaning the whole thing will have to be stripped and painted correctly - some binding agent was not used when this PU was painted and put on the car at some point in the distant past. Still, I had been thinking about getting the badge panel resprayed due to a poor finish, so that'll get done at the same time.

Pah! If only! That money was already earmarked for belts and rollers and a performance chip. []

Ah, yes. I've been on the opposing side of this one on numerous occasions. Good tip!

I'm with Aldo. It's just a car. Bank the Brownie points. Although £1000 is a lot of money, it is still cheaper than a divorce, I believe...

It shouldn't, but this post has brought a knowing smile to my face; a similar circumstance happened to Mrs Bonner and fresh out the box RS4 avant not so very long ago. Apparently I hadn't left it in the usual place and so contact with her Defender 90 was inevitable?!

Lots and lots of humble pie served by Mrs Craig for a while to come maybe?..... [:D]

Bedroom Action springs to mind as a sorry, sounds like the PU was not very well done last time round so a chance to get it fixed properly.
Always get the best out of a bad situation [:D]

Ron Surf Lambrettas are most excellent a lot of my mates are original but still active scooter lads, been on a few do's with them, usually gets messy[;)]

Has to be people over paintwork. Sorry. She's your wife - you are married to her. Not to the car.

Forgive her. She will be around much longer than the car ever would be.

Oli.

Absolutely. My cousin's husband being a good example.
My aunt, his mother-in-law, reversed into the front of his brand new DB9 last month on the driveway.

Damage - small dent only
Repair quote £5000!!
Look on her face and the 'I'll pull that one out again sometime in the future' factor - Priceless [:D]
